1. Nature of the product
An AI Name such as nova.midomain.ai is a subdomain delegated beneath a parent domain controlled by MiDomain. It is not a separate top-level domain or second-level .ai registry registration. MiDomain remains the registrant/controller of the parent domain.
2. Licence to use
Upon acceptance and payment, MiDomain grants the customer a limited, renewable right to use the allocated AI Name for the registration term, subject to these terms, applicable law and operational policies.
3. Availability and reservation
Stage 2 live search checks the MiDomain registry database. A successful founding request creates a temporary 48-hour pending-review reservation and a reference number, preventing another customer from claiming the same label during that hold. The reservation is not an activated registration and creates no DNS rights until MiDomain accepts the request, receives any required payment and provisions the name. MiDomain may reserve operational, security-sensitive, misleading, abusive, trademark-sensitive or premium labels.
4. Registration term and renewal
The standard pilot term is one year unless otherwise stated. Renewal pricing and deadlines will be disclosed before payment. MiDomain intends to provide renewal reminders and a grace process before releasing an expired name.
5. DNS and technical use
Activated names may be provided through managed DNS or nameserver delegation depending on the pilot stage. Customers are responsible for the security and legality of services published under their AI Name.
6. Acceptable use
AI Names may not be used for phishing, malware, fraud, impersonation, unlawful content, abusive messaging, infringement, credential theft or conduct that threatens the parent namespace or other customers. MiDomain may suspend a name where necessary to address abuse or security risk.
7. Transfers
The founding pilot does not guarantee an unrestricted aftermarket. Any transfer between customers requires MiDomain's registration records to be updated and must comply with the transfer policy in force at that time.
8. Continuity
MiDomain will design production namespaces for long-term continuity. Because the pilot depends on the parent domain, customers should understand that their AI Name is contractually dependent on MiDomain maintaining and operating that parent domain.
9. Trademarks and disputes
Customers are responsible for ensuring their requested name does not unlawfully infringe third-party rights. MiDomain may place a disputed name on hold while credible complaints are reviewed.
10. Pilot status
The Stage 2 pilot includes persistent reservations and status tracking, but payment and DNS activation remain manual or disabled until their production integrations are enabled. Features described as planned or forthcoming are not guaranteed until they are enabled in the production service.
